It is a very easy dish to make and very minimalistic item is required and with household items:(tbs: table poon)
1.2cup basin(they kiss in English) 4. 2tbs oil 7. salt (to taste)
2. 1tbs turmeric powder 5. 5to6 green chili 8. 1ts sugar
3. 2tbs fruit salt(Eno)/baking soda 6.1tbs mustard seed(sarson) 9. tbs lime juice
10. 1 spring curry leavs
procedure to make:
Dhokla, a pulse-based precursor of the dhokla, is mentioned in a Jain text dated to 1066 CE. The earliest extant work to mention the word "dhokla" is the GujaratiVaranaka Samuchaya(1520 CE).
first, put the basin in a mixing bowl. then add the turmeric powder salt and sugar as per taste. then mix it well so that the Haldi(turmeric powder) miss well and blends with basan
add the lime juice and add water slowly and six it and make it a thick paste.
then on an oven put a pressure cooker and add water put a stand inside it. then make a paste of fruit salt and put in the bowl and then mix it don't over mix put inside the cooker put the lid of the cooker and make sure you should put off the whistle then let it steam for 7 to 8 minutes.
on a pan heat, 2 tbsp oil then add the mustard seeds and curry leaves and if u get coconut water its good to add a cup of coconut water if not there add normal water put it away.
now put the gas off and let the cooker sit for 1 to 2 min then open the lid and prick it with a knife and see the batter is not sticking if not then put the water on top and serve it hot
